 
Fairwinds Treatment Center has a much higher success rate for recovery than the national average. This is accomplished through our medical model treatment approach, in which our attending psychiatrist works with the client on a daily basis to determine underlying mental health issues.
Successful treatment for addictions increases dramatically when the individual receives dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders and eating disorders. According to recent studies by the National Institute for Mental Health, diagnosing and then treating both problems more than doubles the success rate for people with alcohol and/or drug dependence.
Fairwinds also promotes a “treatment for success” philosophy based on the client following through with his or her personalized aftercare and discharge plan. If the client adheres to the recommended plan, which may include follow-up visits with a therapist and doctor and regular attendance at support group meetings (AA, NA), treatment success increases significantly.
