Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program for Eating Disorders
Our IOP offers a higher level of care than standard outpatient programs. Patients will visit our recovery center three days per week for three to five hours at a time. Fairwinds Treatment Center offers the following treatment services:
- Nutrition counseling – We can develop a custom meal plan that will promote weight loss, weight restoration, or weight maintenance.
- Individual psychotherapy – Our counselors can help you with other parts of your life outside of your eating disorder. This includes communication habits and various types of relationships.

- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) – This therapy is designed to help you overcome any negative thoughts you may be associating with eating, food, and body image.
- Dialectical behavioral therapy – In this therapy, you can learn how to safely regulate your emotions, develop mindfulness, learn distress intolerance, and develop interpersonal skills.
- Radically open dialectical therapy – Our counselors can help you manage difficult emotions and decrease any harmful behaviors you are experiencing.
- Fitness and wellness groups – We can help you learn to enjoy healthy exercise while avoiding the negative impacts of unhealthy exercise.
- Art therapy – Our art therapy helps our patients promote self-expression and self-understanding. Art is a healthy avenue for patients to express difficult-to-verbalize feelings.
