Addictions and eating disorders can destroy relationships and cause one’s health to rapidly deteriorate. However, there is always hope for a new life—one free from chemical dependency or destructive eating habits. At Fairwinds Treatment Center, we have been helping residents of Tampa, Florida, along the path to sustained recovery since 1989 by providing personalized, compassionate, and holistic care at our recovery center in Clearwater.
Eating disorders and addiction to alcohol and drugs often co-occur with psychiatric disorders. Our focus on dual diagnosis allows our team to uncover and treat issues such as depression, anxiety, and past trauma, opening a clear path for healing and living your life to the fullest.
Many patients suffering from addiction benefit from starting with inpatient care at our addiction recovery facility. The process usually begins with detox, during which our caring medical staff will do everything possible to keep you healthy and comfortable. Over 28 to 60 days, you will receive intensive treatment, including a tailored therapy and medication regimen.
The next step in addiction recovery is usually an intensive outpatient program (IOP). You will live at your home in Tampa, and continue to have routine treatment at our recovery center as well as daily check-ins with our substance abuse counselors.
Our inpatient eating disorder recovery programs give patients space to heal in a healthy and supportive environment where our trained medical professionals can uncover the underlying conditions driving their destructive eating habits. Following a full-time stay, intensive outpatient treatment is typically recommended to ensure patients remain on the road to long-term health and healing. At our recovery center, we design individualized eating disorder treatment plans for women, men, and teenagers that can include an array of therapy methods, meal planning, fitness groups, and much more.
