Resources from Professional Organizations
Fairwinds Treatment Center is committed to raising awareness about addictions, mental health issues and eating disorders. Fairwinds is an active member in the community and is proud to serve as a resource.
Fairwinds is involved in many active organizations that continue to make great strides in the industry.
We are proud members of the following organizations:
iaedp (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) "To promote a high level of professionalism among practitioners who treat those suffering from eating disorders by promoting ethical and professional standards, offering education and training in the field, certifying those who have met prescribed requirements, promoting public and professional awareness of eating disorders and assisting in prevention efforts."
Besides Fairwinds being a organizational member of the national iaedp chapter, Fairwinds Treatment Center helped start the local iaedp Tampa chapter. Fairwinds is proud to also be a part of the iaedp Tampa chapter and have several staff members involved in the organization.
NEDA's (National Eating Disorders Association) mission statement: “support individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serve as a catalyst for prevention, cures, and access to quality care.”
The Eating Disorders Network of Central Florida provides our community with information and referrals related to Anorexia and Bulimia. We know how important treatment is for your loved one, and getting treatment is key to recovery. The support of family and friends is the most valuable tool a person with Anorexia or Bulimia can have, however in the end, only the bulimic or anorexic can do the work.
The mission of FADAA is to represent its members in advancing addiction treatment, prevention and research through public policy leadership, communications, professional development and quality member services.
The Florida Psychiatric Society is a professional association committed to continuously improving the ability of our more than 1,000 psychiatrist members to provide quality treatment for persons with mental illnesses.Florida Psychiatric
Florida Psychiatric Society is the professional organization for all of Florida's psychiatrists from Key West to Pensacola. The activities of the FPS are coordinated from our staff office in Tallahassee, Florida. The Council directs the activities of the Executive Director. Staff duties in support of those activities are then assigned by the Executive Director. The FPS also contracts for the services of our Government Relations Consultant, the registered lobbyist for the society.
