Fairwinds Treatment Center Provides Multiple Levels of Care for Our Patients

At Fairwinds Treatment Center we focus on our superior and unique treatment methods with a payoff that emphasizes on patient recovery. A clinical assessment/evaluation from a member of our highly-trained medical staff will determine the most appropriate level of care placement. The information below explains key characteristics of each level of care:

INPATIENT

Acute services are recommended for individuals who need treatment that cannot be managed on an outpatient level of care or the individual has failed or not responded to the outpatient services. Treatment at this level is closely monitored by the medical/clinical team with daily meetings with the psychiatrist. The multi-disciplinary team conducts evaluations and assessments during this phase to formulate the master treatment plan.

RESIDENTIAL

The patient moves to this level of care after completing the acute level of treatment. All patients have an individualized treatment plan that meets their specific needs. Treatment at this level is attending groups, individual sessions with doctor and therapists, art/expressive therapies and attending outside support groups and recreational outings. This treatment phase also allows visitation hours and personal phone calls. It is very important to us that each patient feels very comfortable during their recovery process.

PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION

This level of care is also known as PHP (partial hospitalization program), and is the most intense of the outpatient services. In partial hospitalization, the patient continues to reside at home, but commutes to treatment from the hours of 9-5pm. Since partial hospitalization focuses on overall treatment of the individual, rather than purely safety, the program is not recommended for individuals who need more acute treatment. These patients usually have stepped down from residential care.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT

Our intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment is 3 nights per week, 2-3 hours per night, for an 8 week period of time. Treatment at this level allows for individuals to continue with work and or schooling, and also continues the healing process.

OUTPATIENT

Treatment at this level of care is indicated for the individual who is not in need of stabilization/rehabilitation services and who can manage on an out-patient basis. Outpatient services vary on intensity based on the clinical needs of the patient.
