There are an estimated 20 million women and 10 million men in the United States who are struggling with an eating disorder. Please get involved and help call attention to these diseases. Fairwinds Treatment Center is proud to be a part of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. Here are some events that will be happening and ways that you can get involved in your area.

Join Tampa Bay iaedp Chapter for a free screening of “SOMEDAY MELISSA: The Story of an eating disorder, loss and hope”
The film will be shown Wednesday, February 27th at 7pm at the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Public Library (11211 Countryway Blvd. Tampa, 33626-2624)

Fairwinds Treatment Center specializes in treating anorexia and bulimia for both adolescent and adult females and males with individualized treatment plans for each patient. Our Eating Disorders program is extremely focused on each specific patient. We use different types of treatment and therapy to help facilitate each patient’s recovery process. Each patient follows a treatment schedule and has a specific therapist assigned to their treatment plan and is able to visit with the psychiatrist on a daily basis.
