Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of caring for our minds. This week we will discuss some of the signs that may indicate a mental health issue.
Mental health affects every area of life, from friends and family to jobs and relationships. During the course of a lifetime as many as 50 percent of Americans will experience diagnosable signs of a mental health condition.
Knowing the warning signs will help you catch mental illness before it gets worse. Has someone you know become increasingly nervous or fearful? Is he or she exhibiting mood swings or problems with memory and concentration? Has the person become socially withdrawn? Are they having trouble keeping up at school or work? These could all be signs of a larger problem at play.
If you or someone you care about is struggling with mental illness, we can help. Contact Fairwinds Treatment Center to learn more about our comprehensive dual diagnosis treatment programs.
